Cinderella 2019: MEET THE CAST: Daniel Anderson

Playing the role of His Royal Highness Christopher Rupert Windemere Vladimir Karl Alexander François Reginald Lancelot Herman (Herman? Herman!) Gregory James, but we just call him “Topher”, is Daniel Anderson.

Daniel Anderson is 19 years old has practically grown up on the theatre stage. He matriculated from Stirling High School last year and has relocated, this year, to Cape Town where he is studying a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Television production. He currently holds an Associates Diploma in Musical Theatre with the Trinity College of London, which he passed with distinction last year. Daniel has received honors cum laude for both Drama and Choir. He has held his own as a well-known performer in and around the Eastern Cape for over 10 years, since he began with Elvis Presley impersonations at the age of 8. His theatre credits include, amongst many others: Peter Pan The Musical (2010), Thats The Way It Was: A Tribute to Elvis (2011), Beauty and The Beast (2013), From Broadway to Rock n Roll (2015), The Wizard of Oz (2016), On The Road Again (2016), The Rat Pack (2016), The Heart of Robin Hood (2017), The Wonder of You: The Story of Elvis (2017/2018), JJDC: We Will Rock You (2017/2018), Singin’ in the Rain (2018), Wizards of Broadway (2018), A Lad ‘n a Lamp (2018), Welcome to the Big Top (2019), It’s Showtime - Cape Town (2019). He has also been involved in The Arts Theatre’s Valentines Cabarets since 2016. Daniel has an absolute love and passion for the stage and deems it a privilege to be working with a score written by the two creatives who sparked his love for musical theatre: Rodgers and Hammerstein. He is also excited to be sharing the stage and creation process with the wonderful friends he has made over the years at the Guild Theatre Prince Topher is giving a ball, ladies and gents and “Will he want a taller girl? Or will he want a stronger girl? Or will he want a smaller girl?” come and find out at the Guild Theatre from 10-22 December 2019!
