FlySafair has announced that its Johannesburg - East London routes, which normally do not operate every day, will operate daily over the festive season.
This is due to the higher demand over the festive period, and the decision by SAA to curtail its East London services.
"Due to the higher demand for travel over the festive season, we are adding capacity to our flight schedule over that period," Safair said.
“On an increased schedule, we did 1 404 flights last December. This will increase to 1 600 flights this December,” says Natasha Kotze, marketing specialist of FlySafair.
The low-cost airline also announced additional flights on the Cape Town- East London, OR Tambo - George, OR Tambo-Cape Town, OR Tambo-Port Elizabeth, Cape Town - PE, and Cape Town - Durban routes.
"We are starting operations on the new routes from Durban to East London and Durban to PE as of 27 November," says Kotze.
